Backrooms Maker / NullZoner · Early preview

By accessing or using backroomsmaker.com and the NullZoner editor (“Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Backrooms Maker provides web-based creation tools. NullZoner is the map editor product within that ecosystem. Features, availability, and pricing may change at any time during the early preview.

2. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Service. You are responsible for compliance with local laws that apply to you.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of maps and other content you create. You are solely responsible for your content and for ensuring you have the rights to any materials you import or publish.

Maps are stored locally in your browser unless you export or share them. We do not host, review, or backup your maps on our servers in the current early preview.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the Service or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service except where prohibited restrictions cannot be enforced under applicable law
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the Service or its software components except as expressly permitted
• Misrepresent affiliation with Backrooms Maker or any third-party IP holder
• Use the Service to infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of others

5. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, visual design, branding, and documentation, is protected by copyright and other laws. See the LICENSE file in our repository for software licensing terms. These Terms supplement that license for use of the hosted Service.

“Backrooms Maker” and “NullZoner” are our product names. “Backrooms” refers to widely shared fan aesthetics and lore; we are not affiliated with any official Backrooms IP holder.

6. Early preview disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be:

• Error-free or uninterrupted
• Compatible with your hardware, browser, or workflow
• Free of data loss — you must maintain your own backups
• Available at any particular time or price in the future

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BACKROOMS MAKER AND ITS CONTRIBUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $0 DURING THE FREE EARLY PREVIEW.

8. Termination

We may suspend or discontinue the Service or your access at any time, with or without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and intellectual property) will survive.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms as the product matures. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The “Last updated” date below indicates the latest revision.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction apply.
